About the Role
We are looking for a Strategic Account Sales to join our Clean Energy team in South Korea. In this role, you will lead one of our most critical strategic customer relationships and drive short to long-term, profitable growth across fuel cells, electrolyzers, battery technologies, and other emerging energy-transition applications. You will develop and execute strategic account plans, influence customer and commercialization roadmaps, negotiate complex business agreements, and build trusted relationships across executive, commercial, procurement, and technical stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to shape regional and global business strategy while representing advanced materials technologies in the rapidly evolving clean energy ecosystem and automotive. The role will be located in Seoul, South Korea.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute multi-year strategic account plans aligned with regional and global business objectives.
• Drive sustainable revenue growth by identifying, shaping, prioritizing, and converting high-value opportunities across fuel cell, electrolyzer, battery, and emerging energy-transition applications.
• Build long-term, trust-based relationships with executive, procurement, engineering, research and development, manufacturing, and business stakeholders within strategic customer organizations.
• Identify and lead joint development, product customization, qualification, and commercialization opportunities that connect customer needs with the company’s innovation pipeline.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations, including pricing, long-term supply arrangements, development agreements, and strategic partnership frameworks.
• Develop deep understanding of customer strategies, technology roadmaps, investment priorities, organizational dynamics, decision processes, and critical purchasing criteria.
• Coordinate cross-functional global teams across sales, product, application engineering, research and development, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, finance, and legal to deliver customer and business commitments.
• Translate customer, market, policy, and competitive insights into actionable recommendations for product, manufacturing, commercial, and business leadership teams.
• Build and rigorously manage opportunity pipelines, forecasts, account plans, and key customer interactions using Salesforce and other commercial management tools.
• Represent the company in executive meetings, industry events, customer visits, and strategic ecosystem engagements while maintaining high standards of integrity, accountability, and follow-through.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic account management, business development, technical sales, or commercial leadership in automotive, energy, hydrogen, battery, advanced materials, or a related industrial market.
• Demonstrated success managing large, complex strategic accounts and engaging executive-level customer stakeholders.
• Proven experience developing and executing account growth strategies and converting complex opportunities into sustainable revenue.
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements involving technology development, long-term supply, new business modeling, or strategic partnerships.
• Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, analytical capability, and value-based selling skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed organization without relying on direct authority.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Professional fluency in Korean and English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally based on business needs
Desired Qualifications
• Advanced degree in engineering, science, or business.
• Experience working with automotive original equipment manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, battery manufacturers, fuel cell developers, electrolyzer companies, or other hydrogen ecosystem participants.
• Knowledge of fuel cell, electrolyzer, battery, and/or advanced materials technologies, including experience with joint development or technology commercialization programs.
