About the Role

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Engineering team in FAB SZ FTZ plant who will:

  • Understand Gore’s product application ‘Fitness for Use’ and ensure the correlations between product performance requirements, process measurements and set points;
  • Identify and drive process improvements; implement current/new technology into operations and transfer knowledge to manufacturing partners;
  • Drive independently as a champion or participating as a core team member in the design for manufacturability in new product and new production equipment development;
  • Document and communicate process capability in order to help guide business decisions;

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize, evaluate, drive proposed cross functional/regional improvement projects to processes and products based on analysis of environmental, health and safety requirements, product quality needs and costs;
  • Develop, troubleshoot and refine manufacturing processes and new equipment;
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments/trials and make decisions based on statistical techniques;
  • Develop mechanism to understand and monitor process variation;
  • Plan and conduct product, process and/or equipment validation in accordance to validation practices to support new product commercialization;
  • Document works via reports, technology notebooks, quality system and designed file entries;

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. or above of Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • >2 years of process engineering experience for a continuous process (e.g. coating, lamination, dyeing or finishing) with steady-state material flow is highly desirable, have solid knowledge of engineering fundamentals & strong mechanical aptitude, demonstrated ability to apply them in the course of development, optimization and troubleshooting activities.
  • Track record of success in driving/supporting/participating project for product development, capital investment, process improving, product quality improving and process problem solving etc..
  • Strong team player, high initiative, easy-going and ready to share valuable experience with others. Matured personality with ability to communicate and set up network with a broad range of functional teams and influence team members effectively.
  • Eager and fast to learn new things
  • Excellent command of English in business environment.
  • Willingness to travel (about 5~10%).

Desired Qualifications

  • Multinational company working experience is preferred.
  • Complex project management experience.
  • Laminate process or textile related industry experience and knowledge.
