About the Role
We are looking for a Chemical Process Operator to join our Coatings Team. In this role, you will be working with a Chemical application atmosphere to support porduct lines on the Weekend Day Shift from 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, Friday – Sunday and manufacture medical devices.
This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits:
- $24.50 - $25.50 per hour
- This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and automatic chemical processing equipment per written and verbal instructions
- Follow hazardous chemical safety protocols and a safety-first mindset
- Measure and prepare various chemicals for batch or bulk processing
- Operational vigilance to flex tasks where process dictates
- Accurately enter and monitor process data
- Work as a team member in a manner that fosters a positive work environment
- Partner with support functions to continuously assess and improve processes
- Strong communication with team members and adherence to escalation practices
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years work experience or bachelor’s degree in science related field
- Experience working within a defined Quality System and making good product quality decisions
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and machine operation experience
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to learn more advanced systems
- Must be able to routinely lift up to 35 pounds and be on your feet the majority of the shift
- Demonstrated ability learn and execute a manufacturing process and follow written instructions
- Excellent eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills with the ability to successfully pass a dexterity pre-screen test
- Ability to pass visual acuity assessment test including 20/20 with or without corrective vision
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to constant change, with the ability to consistently achieve quality and productivity expectations
- Must have the ability to work in a controlled/regulated environment which includes handling hazardous chemicals and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, face shields, aprons, and strictly adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the manufacture of regulated products
- Experience in a lab setting and/or chemical handling
This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role.
