About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Applications & Data Leader to join our GMDIT team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead high performing teams involved in Data Engineering, Technology Enablement, CRM, and Web, including helping to develop team leaders where needed. In addition, you will support both the ongoing sustainment of live systems as well as project-based initiatives, including system enhancements, new functionality, and releases. As a dedicated people leader, you will actively guide and mentor the Application and Data teams, including team leaders, and step in to provide direct assistance when needed to resolve complex challenges and ensure seamless operations. This role offers the opportunity to lead a skilled group of Associates, develop high-performing team leaders while working with global stakeholders, and contribute to the evolution of Gore Medical’s Transformation efforts serving to create a meaningful impact on the organization’s growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, guide, and mentor the Application and Data teams, supporting both production sustainment and project delivery where needed.
  • Ensure appropriate coverage for day‑to‑day operational support for relevant systems, including incident resolution, configuration updates, system maintenance, and support for complex issues as needed.
  • Help ensure proper execution of capacity plan as determined by functional and/or team leaders across steady‑state support, enhancements, and project workstreams.
  • Drive the Performance & Development (P&D) process across the Application and Data teams, ensuring relevant P&D goals are in place, active, and tracked for all team members and team leaders.
  • Drive the Contribution & Compensation (C&C) process across the Application and Data teams, ensuring the C&C process is completed properly and in a timely manner according to GM timelines.
  • Partner closely with regional HR, IT, and project stakeholders to understand requirements, alignment to leading best-practice, and prioritize work effectively across the Application and Data teams.
  • Develop, track and report relevant operational and delivery KPIs to improve performance and transparency, while ensuring strong knowledge management, documentation, and cross‑training across the teams where needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in relevant system stability and usability where needed.
  • Actively demonstrate Gore’s guiding principles, including fostering an environment of inclusion, authenticity, and humility.
  • Communicate directly and effectively with relevant Associates to resolve challenges regardless of their role or difference of opinion.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of combined Data Engineering, Technology Enablement, CRM and Web team leadership experience, including direct experience in building high-performing teams.
  • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams supporting both live production systems and project implementations, including at least 3 years of direct people leadership.
  • Strong understanding of IT system configuration, testing, release, and deployment best practices.
  • Good understanding of IT system Change Management, SLA management & operations governance.
  • Experience leading teams supporting global users and stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Proven ability to balance operational stability with delivery of project commitments.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing conditions and a track record of delivering outstanding results in new and tough situations.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment with clear understanding of equitable practices
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Travel ~10%.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with service transition or managed services models (e.g., AMS, ITIL‑aligned support) for IT applications considered a plus.
  • Understanding of compliance, controls, and audit readiness for IT systems, including awareness of data privacy, security, and regulatory considerations in a global environment considered a plus.
  • Experience working in an international multi-cultural environment considered a plus.
