Manufacturing Technician

About the Role: We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Flexible High Performing Manufacturing team who will help to ensure that we are meeting our operations objectives and business needs. You will be required to cross-train and support multiple manufacturing areas and equipment as business needs. This role will be Monday – Friday 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits:
- $19.00 - $32.00 per hour
- This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:
- Operate lamination manufacturing equipment to produce product (including line setup, troubleshooting, inspection, accurate record keeping and data entry, and preventative maintenance)
- Utilize quality systems, work instructions, and SOPs to consistently deliver products that meet customer requirements, both internal & external
- Identify and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts and lean manufacturing practices
- Follow and advocate all safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment, and complete 100% of monthly and yearly safety trainings and complete and ensure all area training documents are complete and up to date
- Work independently and within a diverse team and contributing to a high performing manufacturing environment
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting lamination manufacturing equipment
- Demonstrated basic computer skills and ability to learn more advanced computer applications (i.e., MRP, MES, SAP.) as well as good documentation and record keeping skills
- Demonstrate the ability to be a motivated and positive influence on team and teammates; work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be able to wear an air hood (forced air) and pass PS1 test (Medical Surveillance Program) also wear a headset throughout the shift and lift 35 pounds as necessary
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs, with a willingness to work overtime, weekends, and alternate between shifts and areas if business needs
- Ability to operate a powered industrial vehicle and stand for long periods

This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role.
