In this role, you will be responsible for producing chemicals in an environment which will require coordination with a wide range of functions to ensure successful chemical handling and manipulation are accomplished. The schedule would be as follows: 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday through Friday.
This role will be located in Elkton, Maryland.
Please note that evening, night and weekend shift positions are eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:
- Learn, support, and practice Gore culture

- Manufacture product and advocate safety practices while working with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Engineering to include the use of personal protective equipment
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Set-up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment with a focus on producing quality product and achieving team production goals
- Perform inspection and testing
- Perform data collection/entry
- Utilize our quality system to ensure our process delivers products that meet customer needs and expectations that adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)/ISO standards
- Interact and communicate with cross functional teams
Required Qualifications:
- Experience operating complex equipment with mechanical aptitude; or previous experience performing preventative maintenance on complex equipment
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills (batch records, process logs.)
- Basic computer skills with ability to learn more advanced computer applications
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written communication, while working independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, work overtime, shift to other manufacturing areas with limited notice and flex work schedules to meet business needs
- Demonstrated ability to focus on primary commitments while managing multiple priorities
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs on a routine basis, occasionally lift up to 80 lbs, and be able to wear an air hood
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and alternate between shifts to meet business needs
- Ability to train on 1st shift (5:45am-2:15pm, Monday through Friday)
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating complex manufacturing equipment and also operating a forklift
- Preventative maintenance experience
- Familiarity with quality control systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems
This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role.
