At Mindera, we craft software with people we love. 💛
We’re looking for a Senior Cloud/Platform Engineer with Azure to join our team!
You'll be a key contributor to building and evolving the software that empowers our developers to build and ship applications with speed and efficiency, specifically within the Azure cloud environment. This includes creating tools and automation for infrastructure provisioning, continuous integration and delivery, and application lifecycle management, all while leveraging the power of Azure services and adhering to GitOps principles for a secure SDLC. You will also play a crucial role in enhancing the developer experience (DevX) of our platform, ensuring it is intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable to use. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure-focused platform engineers to ensure seamless integration between software and infrastructure.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Design, develop, and maintain software components for our internal developer platform, focusing on scalability, reliability, and developer experience, with a strong emphasis on integrating with Azure services.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure-focused platform engineers to ensure seamless integration of software with the platform's infrastructure, including AKS, Azure networking components, and other relevant Azure offerings.
- Contribute to the development of tools and automation that streamline the developer workflow, utilizing Azure services and tools where appropriate.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines that adhere to GitOps best practices, enabling automated and secure deployments with full traceability and rollback capabilities.
- Gather feedback from developers on the platform's usability and identify areas for improvement in the developer experience.
- Design and implement features that enhance the platform's DevX, such as intuitive user interfaces, helpful documentation, and efficient workflows.
- Advocate for DevX considerations in collaboration with infrastructure-focused platform engineers, ensuring that developer needs and preferences are prioritized in the platform's design and implementation.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy in describing Azure-specific implementations.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges in the ever-evolving world of platform engineering, with a focus on staying current with Azure advancements and best practices.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong understanding of both infrastructure and software engineering principles, with a focus on cloud-native development and deployment methodologies.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, C#, JS).
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, with a focus on secure development practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues in cloud-based applications.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly, particularly in the rapidly evolving cloud landscape.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience in working effectively with cross-functional teams in a cloud environment.
- Understanding of user experience (UX) and developer experience (DevX) principles, with a focus on designing and building user-friendly cloud-based tools and platforms.
- Experience with GitOps principles and tools, such as FluxCD or GitHub Actions, for managing and deploying cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles, with a focus on Azure deployments.
- Familiarity with Azure solution architecture and best practices, including knowledge of Azure services relevant to cloud software development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
