Job Description
At ET Group, we design and implement innovative audiovisual solutions that enhance collaboration and connectivity. As an AV Installer, you will be responsible for executing precise, efficient, and high-quality AV installations based on project drawing packages. This role involves installing, testing, and documenting equipment while ensuring compliance with ET Group’s AV standards and industry best practices to deliver exceptional client experiences.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Installation & Testing: Perform comprehensive AV equipment installations both on-site and off-site, ensuring all components align with the project drawings.
- Documentation & Reporting: Print and reference drawings and labels, document any modifications made during assembly or installation, and provide detailed reports to the team.
- Site Preparation & Cleanup: Participate in site mobilization, equipment disposal, and overall job site organization.
- Equipment Handling & Quality Control: Identify and initiate the Vendor RMA process for defective equipment, ensuring all hardware meets quality standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe and organized workspace, following all safety guidelines, industry best practices, and company policies.
Qualifications
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience as an AV Installer or in a similar role is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of AV technology and back-end management, Cisco codecs/video conferencing systems, wired and wireless microphones, video/camera systems, and distribution, as well as networking protocols and infrastructure, is beneficial.
- Experience with installation procedures and techniques.
- Post-secondary education in electronics, electrical, telecommunications, or a related field is an asset.
- Knowledge of networking and sound balancing.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Commitment to staying updated on new technologies, manufacturer training, and certifications.
- Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities while maintaining high performance and professionalism.
- Ability to obtain required security clearances and confidentiality agreements.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work at heights, including regular ladder use.
- Flexibility with work hours and travel to client sites based on project needs.
- Must have a basic tool kit and adhere to safety protocols for a secure work environment.
- Working at Heights and Scissor Lift certification (or willingness to obtain).
Additional Information
Please note, you must be eligible to work in Canada and be located in the Greater Toronto Area to be considered for this role.
- Annual salary range: 50-70k CAD per year.
