Technical Application Engineer

To reinforce our team in Málaga, we are currently looking for a Technical Application Engineer. As a member of our international Technical Operations team, your primary task is to maintain our high-standard Linux-based infrastructure which services all our sister companies across Europe and their services. You will collect information, map all interfaces and write dependencies and documentation. Also, you will be responsible for planning their capacity and making sure they are up to date. Of course, you judge and process the requests of internal customers making sure the Enreach operations run smoothly.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Technical Application Engineer who can work both independently and in a team on the various challenges that come on our path.

Your main challenges will be:

• Implementing and maintaining Linux-based application environments
• Performing periodic recovery and fail-over tests
• Handling operational incidents, changes and questions for existing applications
• Taking part in projects for implementing new applications & infrastructures

WHO ARE YOU?

• An experienced Application Engineer (at least 3 years of experience) who is used to managing various applications, consisting of multiple components spanning several servers, including high-availability
• A Linux lover with in-depth knowledge of the Linux Operating system
• A great communicator with interpersonal and organizational communication skills. It is essential to be fluent in English
• Fan of scripting, experienced with at least one scripting language like Bash, PHP, Python, or others
• A problem solver with strong analytical skills to be able to figure out the root cause of any technical problem you encounter
• An Open Source Enthusiast experienced in several Open Source Software applications (for example Apache2, Nginx, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Zabbix, Netbox)
• Affinity with DNS and Domain administration
• Willing to participate in an on-call schedule

You’ll stand out if you:

• Have experience with containers (Docker, LXC, etc.) and Ansible (used for deploying infrastructure and applications)
• Are proficient in Git and familiar with the Atlassian suite (Bitbucket and Confluence)
• Possess knowledge of Cloud infrastructures (preferably Microsoft Azure)
• Can collaborate effectively with diverse, international teams with different working styles
• Thrive in a self-steering environment, making autonomous decisions aligned with the company’s purpose
