✨ Looking for a part-time job that’s anything but ordinary?

Join #TeamNLCS and make a real difference in the lives of young people and adults with disabilities and additional support needs across Motherwell and Wishaw!

We have a permanent 16-hour-per-week opportunity available.

What will you be doing?

No two days are the same! You’ll support people to get out, have fun and live life to the fullest — whether that’s:

🏊 Swimming
🏋️ Going to the gym
🎳 Bowling
🎬 Cinema trips
🎉 Activity clubs
🎓 Supporting college attendance
🍽️ Going out for meals or to the pub

You’ll also provide support with everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking, appointments, finances, medication, household tasks and personal care.

You’ll need to be confident in and around water, as swimming is a regular activity for one of the people we support. Due to the needs of the service, we will also need you to have full UK manual drivers licence.

If you’re friendly, reliable, caring and ready for a role where every day brings something new, we’d love to hear from you!

What we're looking for - what matters most

No experience, don't worry, we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team.

We'll give you full training, pay you for your training and provide a supportive team around you every step of the way. We'll also fund your SVQ (SCQF Level 6/7) qualification and your PVG and SSSC registration fees.

  • Kind, compassionate and positive people
  • Reliable and committed
  • A good communicator and team player
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Willing to learn and try new things
  • Confident using technology and new systems
  • Organised, with good administrative and numeracy skills
  • Able to follow routines, policies and guidelines
