Looking for a new part-time job where you can make a real difference and be that person that someone can rely on?

You're in luck as our amazing #TeamNLStrathclyde in Airdrie are on the lookout for a caring and reliable individual to join them on a part-time (18-26 hours per week) basis.

Our team and the individual you'll support

As a Support Practitioner you'll become part of a friendly team who provides invaluable support to a fun loving gentleman with complex needs in his own home.

You'll build a genuine relationship with him and be part of moments that really matter; whether it's providing support while cooking, achieving a goal, going to clubs, attending hydrotherapy or just feel understood.

Being a Support Practitioner is more than just a job, there's no better feeling than going home after every shift knowing that you've made a positive difference in someone's life.

The gentleman has his own mobility car so we would need you to be a driver with a full UK manual drivers licence. Due to one of the activities the person we support attends being hydrotherapy, you would need to be happy to supporting them in the water.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Kind, caring and compassionate
  • Patient, positive and reliable
  • A good communicator with a sense of humour
  • Creative and willing to try new things
  • Comfortable using a computer

As we're dedicated to providing the best support possible, shift patterns for this opportunity typically start at 10am or 4.30pm 7 days a week and can include a sleepover. Weekends and public holidays are shared on a rotational basis.

The sleepover shift is not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £107.60 for each sleepover worked.
