Make a difference - Join our relief team in Dundee!

Looking for a rewarding job that fits around your life? Whether you're looking to gain experience, return to work, or just want a role where you get to make a difference every day, we'd love to hear from you!

Our relief team is growing, and we're looking for caring and enthusiastic people to join our teams across the Dundee area. With a relief contract, you tell us when you're available, and we'll look to offer shifts that fit, giving you that flexibility to balance work with your other commitments.

Why join us

As part of our supportive team, you'll enjoy

  • Flexible working that fits around you
  • Full paid training - no previous experience needed
  • Funded SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification
  • PVG costs and annual SSSC registration fees paid
  • A supportive team who values and invests in you
  • A rewarding job where you get to make a positive difference every day

What you'll be doing

As a relief Support Practitioner, you'll play an important role in making sure that the people we support continue to receive high-quality care when colleagues are on leave, training or absent.

You'll support individuals with disabilities and additional support needs to live as independently as possible by helping with: -

  • Daily living, medication and personal care
  • Shopping and managing finances
  • Cooking and household tasks
  • Building confidence and independence

No two days are the same. You'll also have the opportunity to support people to enjoy the things they love, whether it's arts & crafts, gardening, swimming, going to the cinema, enjoying meals out, attending discos or simply getting out for a walk.

Who we're looking for

You don't need experience or qualifications in care, we recruit for values, attitude and potential. If you're a good communicator, kind, reliable and passionate about helping others, we'll provide all the training and support you'll need.

Shift patterns

Our teams provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shift patterns include: -

  • Early mornings
  • Evenings
  • Weekends
  • Public holidays
  • Sleepovers
  • Waking nights

Please note that induction and training times will likely fall within day time hours Monday-Friday, so we will need you to bring an element of flexibility to allow you to attend essential training and inductions courses. Advance notice will always be given.
