The Role and the individual you will support

Working as part of our small team you’ll be supporting a young lady who loves nothing more than keeping active. From taking part in social activities to going to night clubs and themed ‘Come Dine With Me’ events with her friends, there is never a dull moment

You’ll be providing practical and emotional 1:1 support within her home and support while out in the community. By taking a person-centred approach, you will get to know the lady we support where you will encourage independence and help her recognize her potential. Part of your role will include developing and maintaining personal plans along with other relevant duties.

Due to the person we support having their own mobility car, we will need you to have a full UK manual drivers licence with at least a years experience on the roads.

About You

It would be great if you have experience working with mental health, however we recruit on values and transferrable skills and our Training Academy will give you all the skills you'll need. We'll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification, PVG costs and SSSC registration fees too!

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • A caring attitude and approach.
  • A positive approach to learning.
  • An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines.
