On the look out for a new part-time job with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? You're in luck as our fantastic #TeamRiverside in Stonehaven are now on the look out for three new caring, reliable and dedicated colleagues on a permanent (16, 20, 25 or 30 hours per week) basis.
Our team and the individuals you'll support
You'll become part of a warm and friendly team who provide support to four individuals with various learning disabilities. The great thing about this job is that two days are never the same; you'll provide invaluable support with all aspects of their daily living, including cooking, cleaning, finances and medication.
We'll also need you to be enthusiastic and creative supporting with their hobbies and interests too, some of these include gardening, cooking, baking, arts & crafts, going to the gym, attending events, going for walks and getting out and about in their local community.

About You
At Cornerstone we don’t recruit on experience and qualifications; we’re more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We’ll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you’ll need. We’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
All we'll need you to bring is;
- Good listening and communication skills
- A caring attitude and approach
- A positive approach to learning
- An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines
- The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too)
It would be great if you also had a full manual driving license, but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidates.
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts are varied and do include early mornings, days, evenings, As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts will usually fall into patterns mornings, days and evenings, so we will need you to be flexible. Weekends and sleepovers will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
Our sleepovers don't form part of your contracted hours, you'll receive an additional payment of £100.80 for every sleepover shift you work!
Due to the location of our service, if you are not a driver with access to your own vehicle, we will need you to be mindful of the location and be confident that you can travel for your shifts as our service has limited public transport links that fit with the shift patterns for this role.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
