You’ll own the line between “it works” and “it ships.” You’ll be closest to the edge cases, sharpest on what could break and fastest to catch it before a user does.

What you'll do

Translate requirements into test cases with the product and dev teams. Run functional, regression, and UAT on web and mobile apps. Hunt down, document, and track defects in JIRA. Design and maintain automated tests in Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) and Selenium (Java). Build and optimize scripts for new features and integrations. Wire automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) for faster feedback. Keep test coverage high and the suite maintainable. Spot ways to sharpen the framework and the process.

Must haves

3-5 years in software testing, both manual and automation. Strong manual testing of web and mobile — test plans, test cases, exploratory. Automation in Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript and Selenium with Java (WebDriver, TestNG or JUnit). Bug-tracking with JIRA or Azure DevOps. Git and version control. CI/CD familiarity. Solid grasp of automation best practices, test data management, and suite maintenance. SQL for database testing. Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related.

Good to haves

Cloud testing platforms (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack). API testing with Postman. Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban). Performance and load testing.
