Are you passionate about creating game interfaces that are as immersive, intuitive, and dynamic as the worlds they belong to?
Join Camplight and help shape the player experience of an exciting new game project. Your work will define how players interact with every aspect of the game—from HUDs and menus to inventory systems and animated transitions—combining exceptional visual design with fluid motion and modern AI-assisted workflows.
What you’ll be working on?
We’re partnering with an ambitious game studio to develop a visually rich game experience with a strong focus on quality, immersion, and technical excellence.
As a 2D UI Designer, you’ll own the visual language of the game’s interface, designing everything from core gameplay HUDs and menus to icon systems, inventory screens, and polished motion graphics. You’ll collaborate closely with technical artists, animators, engineers, and game designers to ensure every interface feels intuitive, engaging, and seamlessly integrated into the gameplay experience.
You’ll also help explore the future of game UI production by incorporating AI-assisted design tools into your creative workflow, enabling faster iteration and unlocking new creative possibilities.
Your Role
You’ll be responsible for designing and animating cohesive UI systems that combine outstanding visual quality with excellent usability and production efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing polished game UI systems, including HUDs, menus, inventory screens, tooltips, icon libraries, and interface components
- Creating engaging UI animations and transitions using tools such as After Effects, Spine 2D, or Rive
- Building and maintaining scalable UI component libraries that enable efficient collaboration across art and engineering teams
- Collaborating with technical artists and pipeline engineers to establish efficient workflows from design tools into Unreal Engine
- Working alongside AI specialists to explore AI-assisted workflows for interface layouts, icon generation, and visual asset creation
- Prototyping interactive UI flows and clearly communicating interaction behavior to gameplay and engineering teams
- Defining and maintaining UI quality standards around readability, accessibility, consistency, and responsiveness
- Rapidly iterating on designs based on creative direction, internal feedback, and user testing
- Supporting and mentoring other designers by sharing best practices around motion, UI systems, and production workflows
