What you’ll be working on?

We are collaborating with one of our partners to build visually rich and highly interactive game experiences where UI is not just functional—but an integral part of the player journey.

As part of this project, you’ll design and animate complete 2D UI systems—from HUDs and menus to iconography and transitions. These interfaces will seamlessly blend with gameplay, enhancing immersion while maintaining clarity and usability.

You’ll also explore the frontier of AI-assisted design, collaborating with technical teams to integrate generative tools into your workflow—accelerating iteration and unlocking new creative directions for UI systems.

Your Role

You will own the look, feel, and motion of the game interface.

Your responsibilities will include designing scalable UI systems, creating polished animations, and ensuring that assets are both visually compelling and production-ready. You’ll collaborate closely with technical artists, engineers, and designers to ensure seamless integration into Unreal Engine and maintain high quality across all UI elements.

You’ll also contribute to pipeline improvements, mentor junior designers, and help define UI standards across the project.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a UI Designer or UI/UX Artist in games or interactive media
• Strong portfolio showcasing game UI design, including motion and animation work
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma and/or Adobe Illustrator
• Solid experience with After Effects, Rive, and/or Spine 2D for UI animation
• Strong understanding of game UI conventions (HUD readability, responsiveness, input states)
• Experience designing UI systems such as menus, HUDs, inventory screens, and icon sets
• Familiarity with scalable design systems and component libraries
• Awareness of AI-assisted design tools and willingness to integrate them into workflows
• Experience collaborating with engineers and technical artists on implementation pipelines
• Fluent English for communication in an international team
• Availability to work on-site in Sofia for collaboration sessions
