What you’ll be working on?
We are partnering with a fast-growing fintech client to develop next-generation crypto and blockchain solutions powered by AI-assisted engineering. The project focuses on building secure, scalable systems for crypto payments, decentralized finance (DeFi), and blockchain-based services. You’ll help design and implement backend architectures that integrate with smart contracts and decentralized networks while leveraging AI tools to accelerate development. By combining traditional engineering expertise with cutting-edge AI tooling, the platform aims to significantly improve development speed, system reliability, and innovation in financial infrastructure.
Your Role
You will play a key role in shaping how AI is used in software engineering within the team. Your responsibilities will include designing systems, validating AI-generated code, and orchestrating multiple tools to deliver production-ready solutions.
You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers while leading by example in adopting AI-augmented workflows.
- Use AI tools like Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate Java development
- Focus on system architecture while AI supports implementation
- Design and refine backend systems for blockchain, crypto payments, and DeFi
- Orchestrate multiple AI tools to streamline APIs, services, and integrations
- Review, validate, and productionize AI-generated code
- Mentor team members in AI-assisted development practices and maintain high engineering standards

Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a Java backend developer
- Strong ability to review, validate, and improve AI-generated code
- Solid understanding of backend fundamentals: APIs, system integration, and architecture
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and prompt-based iteration
- Interest or exposure to blockchain, crypto systems, or smart contracts
- Experience with AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Aider, etc.)
- Knowledge of prompt engineering or agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain)
- Experience with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to blockchain ecosystems such as Ethereum, Solana, or Hyperledger

What does the interview process look like?
- Initial Interview: A friendly 45-minute cultural and technical conversation with two team members to explore your experience, mindset, and ideal work environment.
- You can choose between two Technical Deep Dive options:
- Homework Assignment: A short assignment (~2 hours), followed by a 1-hour discussion and technical deep dive.
- Pair Programming: A 2-hour live session focused on collaborative problem-solving and coding.
